Copyright
Copyright is the law put in place which gives creators of origional pieces of work exclusive rights to it. After a piece of work has physical form, for example a song, the creator becomes copyright holder. The copyright holder can then take credit for the work allowing them to sell, display and reproduce the work. Generally copyright is 'the right to copy' which is why we must ask the copyright holders of our song 'Wake me up' By Avicii permission to use the song. If we do not gain permission to use the song or use it without asking copyright holder, our music video could be taken down and we could also possibly be sewed if the music video was created in order to gain profit.
In order ask permission for copyright on our chosen song i contacted the copyright holder via email.

You have made a start in describing why music copyright is important, but further discussion is needed on why you had to contact a record label.
